About Company
Why Financial Independence?
If you arrive at a campsite, what’s the first thing you do?
Set up your tent, unroll your sleeping bag, and collect some firewood. That way, it’s all done, and you don’t have to worry about that later. When it gets dark or rainy, you can spend the rest of the evening doing whatever you like.
Similarly, in life, the first thing you should do is solve the money problem. Once that’s solved, you can do whatever else you might want. But translate that money problem first, so you’re not stuck doing it later.
If any one of these lines feels relatable, Financial Independence is what you need:

I want to go back to the days when I didn't have to care if I was employed and could do what I wanted all day.

I want to be able to work at a job for fun regardless of how much it earns me.

I want to work because it's fulfilling and not because I need the money.

I want to be free to drop my job without hesitation if something more meaningful (such as a family member's health) arises.

I want to be with my daughter as much as possible, even when she goes to college and makes it herself.

It all boils down to "l want employment to shift from top priority in my life to bottom priority." I refuse to be shackled by the rat race my whole life.

I don't want that kind of life. I want to work to live, not live to work. I don't want to worry about bills every second of the year.

I am scared. I fear waking up one day without the skills to be marketable (or with an automated job), with a family to support.
I am scared that the pension I was expecting will be legislated out of existence. I am scared of future health problems taking me from the workforce. I am afraid I won't be able to provide for my children the way my parents provided for me.
Financial Independence is a part of the antidote to that fear, along with continued education (personal and professional), proper diet, exercise, civic duties, some insurance products, and loving relationships.
